Core Principle: Real World

At Courage Schools, we focus on engaging in work that is relevant, rewarding, and useful.

The classroom is not the sole place of learning. Outside the confines of those four walls, students are able to experiment and explore topics in new ways that leave a lasting impression. They understand how learning translates to real impact.

“When am I ever going to use this?” is a common and justified question among students. At Courage Schools, we focus on engaging students in work that is relevant, rewarding, and useful.

Students are encouraged to be curious, ask questions, make mistakes, search for answers, and fall in love with learning. Additionally, students are given the freedom to pursue subjects that interest them more deeply and gain expertise in areas that specifically apply to their goals. All of this occurs while still gaining the foundational competencies to be successful post-graduation.

At Courage Schools, we focus on engaging students in work that is relevant, rewarding, and useful.

Courage Schools also believes that learning expands beyond the physical time and space boundaries of a school. Certain lessons are better taught at home, on a nature walk, in a sermon, or on the basketball court. Our flexible schedule and environment allow students to learn invaluable lessons every day, everywhere as they wholeheartedly pursue their passions. This ultimately creates lifelong learners who view every moment as a learning experience.

At Courage Schools, real-life learning is cultivated by:

  • Project-based learning
  • Real-world challenges
  • Simulations
  • Hands-on demonstrations
  • Peer collaboration
  • Internships
  • Interdisciplinary learning
  • Digital media resources
