Our Model

Tailored.
Truth-Full.™

Our philosophy on student education distills down to two powerful and encompassing ideas. From there, we employ a variety of innovative methods to make it reality.

Truth-full

Jesus-centered content fills the core of our curricula and is the lens through which our schools are guided. The highest goal of Courage Schools is to help more students know Jesus and represent Him well in current culture.

Tailored

Every student is designed by God with a unique purpose and gifting. This beautiful and intentional diversity is best fostered through tailored learning plans for every student. Plans that make them excited to dig in and discover something new.

MasterY-Based

Courage Schools utilizes a mastery-based system that shifts student focus from earning a grade (then forgetting) to genuine learning and retention. Mastery of every subject and skill is both achievable and expected.

“Education is not like an incurable disease where we don’t know what to do. We know what to do in education.”

Real World

The classroom is not the sole place of learning. Outside the confines of those four walls, students are able to experiment and explore topics in new ways that leave a lasting impression. They understand how learning translates to real impact.

Mentor-Guided

Courage School students are the primary managers of their learning, which increases motivation and individual success. However, all students are actively involved with a mentor who is dedicated to helping them meet spiritual, academic, and personal goals.

Parent and church-focused

The Lord has given the greatest responsibility over children to parents and the local church. Our model welcomes the involvement of both groups to help guide and encourage.

"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."
